Phyllis Lynch

PHYLLIS LYNCH

Talents: Piano, Keyboard-Synthesizer, Classical Guitar, Organ

 

Phyllis has been playing for weddings, receptions, and many other occasions and locations for many years. She is a former artist for the Indianapolis Baldwin outlet and plays most styles of music from Jazz, Classical, Oldies, Pop, Rock, Country, Blues, Contemporary, Christian, etc.

 

Phyllis has been a Church Music Director and Organist for many years.

 

Phyllis plays solo on Piano/Keyboard/Synthesizer; and Classical Guitar and Church Organ. She plays Duo with Violin or Trumpet or Bass-Guitar-Percussion. She plays in the Jazz Plus Duo. She plays in the Jazz Plus Trio and in Phyllis and Friends Live Band.

DON JOHNSTON

Talents: Vocalist, Bass Guitar, Guitar, Percussion

 

Don has a really smooth tenor voice and like to sing and play Jazz, Oldies, Standards, and everything from the 1920's to current hits. He is a member of the Jazz Plus Duo and Jazz Plus Trio and Phyllis and Friends Live Band.

GARNET RIVERA

Vocals include songs of Natalie Cole, Celine Dion, Nora Jones, Whitney Houston. Garnet is a member of Phyllis & Friends Jazz Plus Trio.

Instrumentation: Bass, guitar, piano, keyboard, percussion, and vocals

 

The Jazz-Plus Trio can be comprised of Piano, Trumpet, Drums-Vocals OR Violin can be substituted for Trumpet, depending on your music taste and song selections and your venue. Vocals may be included or you may choose Instrumental Only. You may also specify approximate percentage of vocals.  (You may also include both Trumpet and Violin for a Quartet)

Star and Sarah Nelson -- violinists

DUO VIOLINS

 

Star plays in the Columbus Indiana Philharmonic and the Terre Haute Symphony Orchestra. She is a former member of the Indianapolis New World Youth Symphony and participated in the Side by Side program with the Indianapolis Symphony. She also attended the Eastern Music Festival in North Carolina.

 

Sarah Nelson earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Northern Illinois University. As a professional musician and teacher in the southern Indiana region since 1986, she has performed with the Bloomington Symphone, Bloomington Pops Orchestra, Owensboro Symphony and the Columbus Indiana Philharmonic.

 

Sarah is currently a member of the Danville Illinois Symphony, the Terre Haute Symphony Orchestra and has enjoyed performing the orchestra and choral works of Haydn, Mozart, and Beethoven at the Classical Music Festival in Eisenstadt, Austria each summer for the past three years. She is the founder and leader of the Aurora Alley Strings Quartet, friends of Phyllis.

This group, comprised of Phyllis and two of her friends, plays primarily Classical music. However, special requests may be made and we will do them if they are suitable to this instrumentation. We can bring an electric piano if a Grand is not available.

The Noteables Band

THE LOCKERBIE STRING QUARTET

Instrumentation: Two Violins, Viola, Cello

 

Serving as an ensemble-in-residence for the International Double Reed Congress held at Ball State University, the Lockerbie String Quartet (LSQ) appeared in concert with bassonists and oboists who were featured at the congress. Players in the quartet are Kara Day Spurlock, violin; Ginny Womack, violin; Donna Lively Clark,viola; and Kurt Fowler, cello. Kara, Ginny, and Donna also perform with the Indianapolis Chamber Orchestra. Kurt is professor of cello at Indiana State University and plays in the Indianapolis Baroque Orchestra. The LSQ offers a broad repertoire appropriate for formal concerts, weddings, receptions, memorial services, as well as various festive events. A holiday concert is also available.

Tom Furness

TOM FURNESS, BASSIST

Instrumentation: Bass

 

Tom has played Bass (both Stand Up Acoustic Bass as well as electric Bass) for many years, first in Minnesota and now Indiana. He has played with several Bands in Indiana and now also plays with the Jazz-Plus Combo, Duo, Trio, or Quartet.

 

The Noteables Band

DUO DIEZ

Instrumentation: Viola, Guitar

 

With ten strings to play, Norwegian guitarist Espen Jensen and violist Donna Lively Clark offer a rich and varied repertoire they have developed for this delightful combination. Both musicians are known for their interpretation of twentieth century music and their compelling performances of Latin American music.

 

DUO DIEZ is available for concerts and receptions year round. During the holiday season, a special program featuring a newly commissioned piece entitled Nine Noëls by John Darnall along with English carols and holiday songs from Norway and Latin America.

THE NOTEABLES

Instrumentation: Trumpet, Trombone, 2-saxes, Keboard, Drums, Bass

 

The Noteables is a 7-piece Dance Band. This group keeps people on the dance floor by playing music of various styles from much of the 20th century, tho' specializing in the swing and jazz of the Big Bands of the 20's - 50's.

Erin Carlisle -- harpist

ERIN CARLISLE

Talent: Harp

 

Erin Jeanette Carlisle adds an elegant touch to any occasion.  As a student under the Harp School, Inc. and a principal harpist for well known orchestras — including the New World Youth Symphony Orchestra — Erin brings a musically diverse background.  She also studies music at Indiana University Southeast.  Erin often performs at weddings, receptions, restaurants, open houses, nursing homes and for many other celebrations and events.  Erin is sure that her music can be adapted to any occasion you may be planning.

Sabrina Falls -- harp

SABRINA FALLS

Talent: Harp

 

Sabrina Falls has been playing her Celtic harp since 1985. She plays wedding ceremonies, receptions, dinners, coffee houses, memorials, church worship and other religious functions. She also plays live therapeutic music at the bedside in hospitals, hospice, or home for those who are sick and in transition from life to death. She is a Certified Music Practitioner.

 

Sabrina plays traditional Celtic music as well as a wide variety of spiritual, folk and popular music.

KATHRYN SCHILLING

Talent: Violinist

 

Kathryn Schilling received her MS in Violin from Butler University, where she studied with Larry Shapiro and Davis Brooks.  Since then she has enjoyed a full schedule of playing and teaching.  Kathryn serves as the concertmaster for the chamber orchestra Orkestra Projekt, as well as the Kokomo Symphony.  She plays in several other orchestras, and as well as providing live music for any occasion such as weddings, receptions, corporate functions, etc. for Phyllis and Friends Live Music.   She maintains a home teaching studio, and also works with students at Park Tudor School.

 

Wendy Muston, Harpist

WENDY MUSTON

Talent: Harpist

 

Wendy is Principal Harpist of the Indianapolis Chamber Orchestra and plays regularly with the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra. She is on the faculty of Butler University's Jordan School of Fine Arts, and is a graduate in Harp Performance from the Indiana University School of Music. Wendy entertains at casual and corporate events, is frequently booked for studio recordings, and plays wedding ceremonies and cocktail hours.
